Java-based senior locator server software design

Introduction

This design uses a compilation environment of java, designed for end-server software for a positioning system for the elderly.

Assuming that the entire software system works as a whole, by pressing the “one-key help” button of the mobile software, the system will be located through the GPS system and the location of the elderly will be transmitted through the GSM transmission protocol to the system's terminal server.

So, what should the server do now? First, we will have access to data from the “Info on the Elderly” database, by which we will retrieve information on the identity of the elderly through the account numbers transmitted in GSM, and also by accessing the “Intimate Account” database, which is the account and cell number of the family members of the elderly, by which they will be located with the GPS system, and by means of messsage and hand-held passenger telephones, to the owner of the related account number attached to the elderly.

In the event that the telephone calls of the family do not work and there is no feedback to the platform within five minutes, the server terminal will transmit the information to the 110 platform for referral to the police for processing.

I believe that it is possible to reach older persons in a timely manner through the following mechanisms.

The following is the data flow chart of the entire process:

Next, we will describe how the server software for the system is designed.

2. Requirements Analysis

  • 1 Software requirement design background overview

As a result of the rapid development of modern society, the pace of life in society has accelerated and ageing societies have arrived, and the safety of older persons is a matter of widespread concern.

If people are to take good care of the elderly, they have to stay with them, but this is not going to work. Many people have video surveillance at home, remote surveillance of the elderly at home, but are unable to take care of the elderly outside.

When older people are alone, if they have an emergency situation, such as falling down or being abducted, and if they press the help button, our platform can immediately obtain information about their location through the GPS location system, feed it back to their families and enable them to provide timely assistance.

Even if family members cannot be reached, we will inform the police in a timely manner, which will significantly reduce the probability of incidents among older persons and ensure safety.

The design was then the most critical part of the system, software design at the end of the system server, compiled using the java environment, with the functions of receiving information, sending it, searching for data, emergency handling, etc., to ensure that the system was running smoothly and functionality was achieved.

  • 2 Software requirement functional design
  • 2.1 Receiving data function

Since server terminals are required to receive location information from mobile end-to-end GPS positioning, we decided to adopt GSM technology, that is, global mobile communication technology.

Why use GSM as a key technology? GSM has several advantages: (The following are taken from 100 degrees)

(1) The coverage of mobile communication networks has exceeded 95 per cent at the national level and, if remote areas are removed, it can be said without exaggeration that the coverage is almost 100 per cent.

(2) Distance of communication. Communication is possible wherever, as long as the signal is covered.

(3) Network reliability. Through extensive practice, it has been learned that the technology is mature and that data will not normally be lost.

(4). It is stable. It is not easily disturbed by the natural environment and has its own exclusive frequency, and human interference does not occur.

How, then, can GSM be used to make this function possible?

This function can be achieved by aligning its upper frequency (i.e., the frequency of the movement-end launch, the end-to-end reception) to the range of the frequency range that the corresponding mobile phone can receive.

  • 2.2 Send message function/human customer service

Once the necessary information from the database has been accessed, the Platform will inform the families of older persons in a timely manner about the location of older persons in a text message, and how can this be achieved?

We still use GSM technology.

The following is a simple processing process (extracted from 100 degrees):

(1). Information is transmitted through SMSC

(2) Information may be sent through artificial terminals (connected to SMSC).

(3). SMS CENTER --MSC/VLR - BSC - BTS - MS

The manual passenger service function, which is carried out mainly by the artificial passenger service, is based on the use of voice processing via computer sound cards and microphones equipped with artificial passenger services, and the transmission of signals to the nearest telephone gateway to the target phone, which converts digital signals into analogue signals that can be transmitted on the public telephone network and connects the other party ' s telephone number to the other side via the 4G network.

Through the above design, both functions of sending information/manual passenger service are achieved.

  • 2.3 Database module design

When we receive distress information from the mobile side, we need to retrieve the information we need from the database, where we set up two databases, the “older information database” and the “relationship account database”, and then we design the functionality of the two databases.

  • Elderly information database

(1) Enter information (Input). When a mobile-end account is registered, the registration is automatically entered in the database via GSM. The manual passenger service, after login, will also have access to uploading abnormal information.

(2) Display information (Show). You can display specific information.

When the server ends up receiving a request for help from an elderly person with a relevant account number, the account number is immediately retrieved and information about the older person associated with the account number is found.

(4) Modify the information (Rewrite). The manual passenger service has the right to modify the information in the database after login.

(5) Delete information (Delete). The manual passenger service has the right to delete information from the database after login.

(6) Update information (Update). When the relevant account is updated at the mobile end, the moving end will upload the updated information to the server side and replace the information in the database.

The following is the UML diagram of the elderly information database

The following is the design of the category “Information database on older persons”.

Account number: xxxxxxxx(9 significant figures)

Elderly person’s name: xx last name xx first name

Date of birth: xxx years x x x x x x days

ID number: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx (18 significant figures)

Contact: xxxxxxxxxxx (11 significant bits)

The following is the architecture diagram of the elderly information database:

The database of information on older persons has been designed and only with the backup of the above-mentioned information will we be able to authenticate each older person and, in the event of a major incident, we can report the incident directly to the police.

This is followed by the design of a personal account database:

When the personal information is perfected on the mobile side, the attached family account is automatically entered in the database via GSM. The manual passenger service, after login, will also have the right to log in and upload abnormal accounts.

(2) Displays a love account number (Show).

(3) Retrieving a relationship account number (Search). When a request for help from an elderly person with a relevant account is received at the server end, the account number is immediately retrieved and the relative account number associated with the account number is traced.

The manual passenger service, after login, has the authority to modify the attached personal account number in the database.

(v) Delete the relationship account number (Delete). After login, the manual passenger service has the authority to remove the attached relationship account number from the database.

(6) Updates the relationship account number (Update). When the relevant account number updates the relationship account number at the mobile end, the updated information is carried to the server side and the account information in the database is replaced.

The following is the UML diagram of the family account database:

GPS-based positioning system for the elderly

The following are the type designs for the family account database:

Account number: xxxxxxxx(9 significant figures)

Elderly person’s name: xx last name xx first name

Elderly family member 1 name: xx last name xx first name

Family contact: xxxxxxxxxxx (11 significant figures)

Elderly family member 2 name: xx last name xx first name

Family contact 2 for older persons: xxxxxxxxxx (11 significant figures)

The following is the architecture diagram of the family account database:

  • Software interface module design
  • 1 Customer service login system design

As a result of this software design, in terms of data modification and access to the database, and in order to ensure data security, we have designed a passenger service log-in system.

The specific design format of the interface is:

Passenger service number: xxxxx (8 significant figures)

Client password: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx (several significant figures)

The specific window popup action should be performed after the operation that requires permission.

  • 2 Database call interface design

In order to carry out a series of operations for the “Info for the Elderly” database and the “Intimate Account” database, we must design the interface of the database.

Elderly information database

Account

Elderly person’s name

Name of family member 1

Family 1 Contact information

Name of family member 2

  • 3 Network call interface design

Since, after the elderly pressed the help button, the customer needed to call the family of the elderly, we specifically designed a web-based interface.

This interface consists of two parts,

Elderly person’s name:

Date of birth:

ID number:

Contact information:

Name of the elderly family member 1

Contact information for family member 1:

Name of 2 elderly family members:

Summary

I learned a lot from this design, not only to gain experience with big project design, but also to work on personal logic. I hope to apply the harvest to later work.
